Directions from US 101 traveling North: Exit Guintolli Lane, turn Right onto Guintolli. Turn right at the stop sign onto Valley West Blvd. It's the last hotel on the right, shortly after McDonalds.
Directions from US 101 traveling South: Exit Guintolli Lane, turn Left onto Guintolli. Turn right at the stop sign onto Valley West Blvd. It's the last hotel on the right, shortly after McDonalds.

Valley West Shopping Center (right by the Arcata Comfort Inn):
For other nearby food options, just turn left out of the hotel parking lot, go over the freeway overpass and turn right onto Valley West Blvd. You'll see fast food, and a shopping center with:
- Kebab Cafe - excellent gyros, burgers, and more! The only Mediterranean resturant in Arcata! Highly recommended.
- Round Table Pizza
- Village Pantry Family Resturant (diner)
- Carl's Jr.
- McDonalds
On the Plaza, Downtown Arcata:
The plaza is bordered by 8th & 9th Streets and G & H Streets. These places are downtown and closer to the festival.
- The Big Blue Cafe - Great for breakfast or lunch with lots of food for very reasonable prices - if that hotel continental breakfast just isn't doing it for you, this is the place to go! Options for everyone, and a great coffee/pastry bar, too. Get there early, since they fill up fast.
- The Alibi (bar/food - 21 & over) - on the Plaza. Hamburgers, salads, fried stuff - great drinks! Busy on Saturday nights - food served until 11pm on weekends.
- Abruzzi (Italian) - on the Plaza in the Jacoby Storehouse, 8th & H Streets - nice resturant. Reservations (707) 826-2345.
- Tomo (Japanese) - on the Plaza in the Hotel Arcata building. Shoshanna's favorite sushi resturant - busy on weekends - (707) 822-1414.
Downtown Arcata, not on the plaza:
G Street is a one-way going north, and H Street is a one-way going south. Both go by the plaza, so it's pretty easy to get to any of these places.
- Arcata Pizza & Deli - 10th & H Street, Arcata - near Arcata Plaza. Pizza, sandwiches, salads, good food. Open very late.
- Los Bagels - 10th & I Street, the premier local bagel shop - good coffee and pastries, too.
- The Co-op - 8th & I Street - great big grocery co-op with an excellent coffee bar, bakery, and tasty deli.
- Crosswinds - breakfast and lunch place - wonderful vegan, vegetarian, and regular options. Their menu is so big it has a table of contents!
- Wildberries - between G & H at 12th street - our other great local grocery store with coffee bar, deli, and salad bar.
- Humboldt Brews - local brewery, night spot, and resturant serving typical brewery fare for lunch and dinner. Open late - kind of busy on the weekends.
- Luzmila's (Mexican) - 12th & G Street - a good Mexican resturant that you can bring lots of people to. Inexpensive and tasty.
- Hunan Village (Chinese) - 18th and G Street (veer to the left at 17th street, so that you don't go onto the freeway or to the college).
There are many other great resturants in and around the Arcata area -
